Zoustar breaks more records at the sales
Zoustar enjoyed another fantastic sale result at the Tattersalls Somerville Sale on Tuesday when his daughter out of Fast Lily sold for 160,000gns to Richard Hughes, topping the sale and breaking the record for the highest priced yearling ever sold at the sale.
Successful purchaser Richard Hughes commented “She’s the standout filly here and I thought she was gorgeous from the moment I set eyes on her. Great quality, nice eyes, Zoustar is doing well and the mare is well able to throw a good one so I think she’s good value.”
The filly was bred and consigned by Plantation Stud, who previously offered her at the Tattersalls December Foal Sales last year. She is out of the Fastnet Rock mare Fast Lily who has already produced American Stakes winner Unanimous Consent and means that the filly was bred on the successful Zoustar/Fastnet Rock cross which has already produced Stakes winners Persuader and recent Gr.2 winner Zougotcha.
James Berney of Plantation Stud commented “We always knew she was a lovely filly but we are over the moon with that. The minute we got up her she showed herself like a queen, every show was the same and she was foot perfect throughout.”
