Zoustar earns more plaudits
The latest Southern Hemisphere bulletin of Bill Oppenheim and Dr. Emily Plant's 'Stallion Spectator Ratings' have Zoustar as the new leader in Australia.
Zoustar, who had his first foals in 2015, is the highest-rated sire Down Under by by "APEX A Runner Index" (3.35), surpassing even established champion sires like Snitzel and Redoute’s Choice.
Zoustar's daughter Sunlight was recently crowned Champion Three-year-Old Filly for 2018/19 at the Australian Horse of The Year Awards. She now heads for the A$14 Everest Stakes on Saturday week.
Zoustar's 2019 fee at Widden Stud is $154,000. He will shuttle for a second season to Tweenhills in 2020 after covering lots of quality mares here in the first half of this year.
