Zoustar's daughter Sisstar wins Magic Millions Classic

Zoustar's daughter Sisstar - a full sister to multiple Gr.1 winner Sunlight - added to her Gr.3 success when winning the Magic Millions 3 & 4YO Classic at Ballarat.

Sisstar had completed a hat-trick when winning the Gr.3 Red Roses Stakes over 1100m at Flemington a year ago and she returned to winning ways in the nine-runner Magic Millions Classic over the same distance.

Four-year-old Sisstar, like her illustrious older sister trained by Tony and Calvin McEvoy, was given an excellent ride by Damian Lane as she was always prominent and then had just enough left in the tank to hold on in a tight finish.

Sisstar was a A$600k Magic Millions yearling purchase by McEvoy Mitchell Racing and Tweenhills' David Redvers from Widden Stud. Widden is, of course, the Australian home of Zoustar and now one of his three stallion sons, Zousain.

Zoustar will return to Tweenhills at Christmas time ahead of covering his third book of Northern Hemisphere mares. His 2021 stud fee is £25,000 (Oct 1st SLF), down from £30,000 in 2020.
