Zoustar's half-brother wins at Chelmsford

Zoustar's two-year-old half-brother Kondo Isami was a deeply impressive winner of a Chelmsford novice on Thursday for Mark Johnston.

Kondo Isami (by Galileo) had showed plenty of ability on his two previous starts and improved again to win by three lengths at the Essex track under P. J. McDonald. He looked very genuine in making all the running.

Kondo Isami was bred by Coolmore and is owned by Toshihiro Matsumoto and Partners. He will be giving his owner plenty more to cheer in 2021.

He's a full brother to Emperor of The Sun who also won as a two-year-old in 2019 and improved at three to be Stakes-placed in August, chasing home the subsequent St Leger winner Galileo Chrome.
