Zoustar's son Indian Specific wins another Stakes race

There was yet another Stakes winner for Zoustar as Indian Pacific won the Listed Furphy Summer Scorcher at Ascot on Saturday.

Four-year-old gelding Indian Pacific had already won six of his 10 races going into the weekend and landed his second Listed success over 1000m at the track, having also took the Furphy Crawford Stakes in October.

Indian Pacific lined up as short-priced favourite for the Summer Scorcher and didn’t let his supporters down. Indian Pacific showed electric speed from the front and had all his rivals firmly on the stretch at the 200m marker.

Indian Pacific ended up winning by a cosy three quarters of a length from Why Choose Her, who had also finished a close second in a similar race over 1200m at the track in November.

Indian Pacific was ridden by Chris Parnham for his father and leading Western Australia trainer, Neville Parnham. He was a A$110k Inglis Premier Sale buy for Parnham Racing. Indian Pacific is out of a mare by Perugino, a son of Danzig.
