Zoustyle maintains unbeaten record

Zoustar's son Zoustyle took his unbeaten record to 6 races - as well as a barrier trial - when made most of the running in the $105,000 JRA 3YO Plate over 1200m at Doomben on Saturday.

Despite taking up the lead at halfway, the Tony Gollan-trained Zoustyle found plenty late on to hold off Godolphin’s Plague Stone in 1.09.02.

The gelded Zoustyle had won the Listed Gold Edition Plate over the same C&D in December and there's a chance he could step up to 1400m in the Group 1 TAB Stradbroke Handicap.

Gollan said: “There are plenty of options for him, we could go to The Group 2 Moreton Cup (1200m) in a fortnight. I’m not sure where he sits in The Stradbroke order now, or we could bypass that and go to the three-year-old race (Daybreak Lover) on Stradbroke day.”

Zoustyle has been ridden to all his successes by Brad Stewart and is a very exciting prospect for his owners Desharon Bloodstock Pty Ltd (who also bred Zoustyle) and Stableboard Bloodstock.

Zoustyle is out of German-bred mare Fashion. Fashion is by Anabaa out of a mare by Acatenango.
