Foals update: Thrilled with the babies so far

With 18 foals having already been born at Tweenhills this year, we felt it was a good time to bring you an update.

Seven of that number are by the late Roaring Lion and seven are by Zoustar. The Lion contingent includes a gorgeous filly out of Common Knowledge and colts out of Really Lovely and Qatar Racing’s Gr.2 May Hill Stakes heroine Rich Legacy.

Mothers for the first time are Gr.3 Athasi Stakes winner Lightening Quick (out of Gr.1 winner Lightening Pearl who is also at Tweenhills) and Listed-placed Natural, who both have fillies by Zoustar, and Listed-placed Golden Spell who has a colt by Havana Gold.

We are also thrilled with our two colts by Lightning Spear. The cheeky boy in the photo is out of Qatar Racing’s Gr.3 Firth of Clyde Stakes winner Dark Reckoning. We also have a cracking colt by Charm Spirit – our first foal of the season.

Over at Spring Lodge in Ireland – which houses several other Qatar Racing broodmares – Stakes fillies Out of The Flames and Ship of Dreams have each had fillies, the former by Zoustar and the latter by Invincible Spirit.
