Tweenhills filly is winner #7 for Kameko
Tweenhills stallion Kameko sired his seventh individual winner when David Howden's filly Ghost Run scored in determined fashion at Newbury. She was born, raised and grazed at Tweenhills.
Ghost Run had finished ahead of subsequent Listed winner Celandine on debut and delivered on that promise when beating 9 rivals in the Ivan Crawford British EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes over 6f at Newbury on Friday.
Ghost Run made all the running under David Probert, showing a very willing attitude to fend off Glamour Show, who also spent time at Tweenhills before going into training. Ghost Run is trained by Andrew Balding.
Ghost Run was bred by The Bewitchment Partnership out of Pivotal mare Bewitchment. The mare has now produced five winners from five runners. They include dual Listed-winning sprinter Nymphadora.
Bewitchement is a half-sister to the 2010 Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes winner Hooray. Ghost Run has a yearling full sister and Bewitchment is in foal to Galiway.
