Zoustar colt flies in trial

Zoustar colt Metallicity produced the fastest two-year-old trial of the morning (from five races) at Canterbury in Australia today when beating five other males over 890 metres in 55.29secs.

It was a first ever trial for Metallicity (out of Captivating Claire by O'Reilly) and he flew home down the centre of the track under minimal pressure from jockey Regan Bayliss. The colt is trained by Peter and Paul Snowdon and carried the colours of one of his part-owners, China Horse Club.

Metallicity is a half-brother to 1000m Gr.3 winner Catch Me and was a AU$340,000 Inglis Sale Easter purchase from the Segenhoe draft. Captivating Claire has produced three other offspring – aside from Catch Me and Metallicity – who have sold for AU$1million or more in the sales ring, all of them winning on the track.

Zoustar returned to Tweenhills over the weekend ahead of his fourth Northern Hemisphere breeding season in 2022 – contact us now to come and view him.

Zoustar will stand at Tweenhills for £25,000 (Oct 1st SLF) in 2022, when his eagerly anticipated first European two-year-olds will hit the track.
