Zoustar foal makes €135,000 at Goffs

Zoustar’s excellent sales season continued when his daughter out of Paulinie changed hands for €135,000 at the Goffs November Foal Sale.

The only lot by Zoustar at the Goffs November Foal Sale fetched over four times his 2021 stud fee when selling to Jamie Railton Sales Agency.

The January-born daughter of unraced Royal Applause mare Paulinie was consigned by Plantation Stud. The Zoustar filly is a half-sister to James Fanshawe’s smart sprinter Willem Twee.

Progeny of Zoustar – especially the fillies, following Lezoo’s Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes win – proved very popular at the yearling sales too.

A Zoustar filly out of Shamardal mare Dice Game sold for 325,000gns from Lezoo’s breeder Chasemore Farm to Karl & Kelly Burke at the Tattersalls Book 1 Sale.

Another Zoustar filly out of a Shamardal mare, this time Babylonian, fetched €300,000 when selling from Loughmore Stables to Newtown Anner Stud at the Goffs Orby Yearling Sale.

Other Zoustar yearlings in Europe made 280,000gns (filly out of a Sea The Stars mare), €250,000 (filly out of a Frankel mare), 210,000gns (filly out of a Teofilo mare) and 200,000gns (colt out of an Elusive Quality mare).

Zoustar will stand his fifth Northern Hemisphere season at Tweenhills in 2023 for £30,000 (Oct 1st SLF).
