Another 6 figure yearling for Kameko
Kamkeo's first crop of yearlings proven to be in high demand at the sales this year, and there was no exception at the first Irish yearling sale of the year when a colt consigned by Clenagh House Stud sold for €115,000 at Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale to Edgar Byrne.
It was a fantastic pinhooking result for his consignor who bought him for just 11,000gns at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale last year, having been sold by his breeders Byerly Stud.
"He was a gorgeous foal and I really wanted to get a Kameko but it was hard to buy one," said his delighted vendor. "He did well all the way through his prep and then Zoulu Chief came out and won three times so far this year, which helped,"
The February born colt is the third foal out of Courteous Crown, making him a half-brother to the exciting 2yo Zoulu Chief (Zoustar) whose three starts to date include the competitive Sky Bet Nursery Handicap at York last month- where he beat subsequent Gr.3 winning Zoustar colt Starlust.
